Money doesn't have to be mysterious

Most people don't fail at budgeting because they're bad with numbers. They fail because nobody ever showed them how money actually works in daily life.

We built something different here. Real education that sticks with you beyond spreadsheets and apps.

What makes our approach work

We've spent years watching people struggle with traditional financial advice. Here's what we do differently.

Start with habits

Before touching a single budget template, we work on the daily decisions that actually shape your financial reality. Small shifts in thinking create lasting change.

Real scenarios

Forget hypothetical examples. We use actual situations from Australian households—rent pressure, childcare costs, variable income streams. The messy stuff that doesn't fit neat formulas.

Build confidence

Financial anxiety isn't just about numbers being low. It's about feeling lost. We give you frameworks that work when life throws curveballs your way.

How the learning unfolds

Our program runs over twelve weeks starting September 2025. You'll meet once weekly for structured sessions, then apply what you learned to your own situation between meetings.

It's not lecture-based. We work through actual budget challenges together. You'll see how other people tackle similar problems, which honestly helps more than any textbook.

The group size stays small—maximum fifteen participants. That's intentional. Everyone gets space to ask questions without feeling judged.

  • Weekly sessions covering income tracking, expense categorization, and planning ahead
  • Access to simple tools we've refined over years of teaching
  • Support between sessions when questions come up
  • Real strategies for managing irregular income and unexpected costs

Fiona Casswell

Program Director

I've been teaching practical money management since 2018. Started after watching too many friends struggle despite having decent incomes.

What I've learned: most financial education misses the psychological side. People know they should budget. They just don't know how to make it work with their actual life.

My background is in adult education and financial counseling. These days I focus entirely on helping people build sustainable money habits without the shame that usually comes with budget conversations.

Ready to change how you handle money?

Our next program intake opens in August 2025 for a September start. Spaces are limited because we keep groups deliberately small.

Program runs twelve weeks from early September through late November 2025

Weekly sessions held Wednesday evenings at our Wickham location

We're not promising financial miracles. But if you're tired of feeling stressed about money and want practical skills that actually work, this might be what you need.
